If you are like most people, your New Year’s resolutions include getting in shape. A great way to do this is by walking, running, or bicycling. If you are not sure where to go, check out a few of these New Orleans trails and choose the one best for you:
Audubon Park This beautiful uptown park is equipped with a 1.8-mile path for jogging, walking and bicycling. You’ll enjoy the beautiful scenery of majestic oak trees. After completing your exercise, visit Audubon Zoo where you can relax a bit and enjoy looking at the diverse selection of animals.
New Orleans City Park is another scenic New Orleans park with the recently opened bike path on the west side of the park, the Marconi Bike Path. Using this trail, you will pass the Equest Farms and see the horses as they gallop freely on the farm. In addition, the golf course is accessible when you use the Filmore Ave. detour. When you continue on the Marconi Bike Path, you will end up near the famous New Orleans Museum of Art.
New Orleans Lakefront The Lakefront gives you the opportunity for a vigorous workout with its 4 miles of available land for running, jogging and biking. At the end of the trail, you will run into the West End restaurants, where you can treat yourself for a job well done.
